Celebrating Earth Day: Inspiring Actions for a Sustainable World 

On Earth Day, we want to share how some of our Alumni and Fellows create a positive environmental impact. In this article, you will learn about the actions of Adélaïde Charlier, Aushim Koumar, Sander Defruyt and Gregoire de Hemptinne and learn about their ways of fighting climate change, and discover the project “How Deep is Your Love (for the planet)”, a Field Work of Alumni Camille Claeys, Louis Lammertyn and Anne-Sophie Aberi-Moska.

Beyond Field Work: Taking action for Inclusion with Cohesion Belgium

Three years ago, nine Fellows of Cohort 2021 Spring formed a Field Work group to work on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Within a year, a strong team with deep bonds was built and the idea of Cohesion Belgium was born: an initiative that supports building an inclusive workplace where each employee feels valued and given equal opportunities, helping not only the employee, but also the company to be more profitable and innovative.

Building Bridges: Reciprocal Growth with the 40u40 Mentorship

The Mentorship is one of the four pillars of the 40u40 program, where each Fellow is paired
with one Mentor to meet regularly and share reflections, challenges, and advice to boost their leadership and societal impact. It is a two-way exchange to learn from each other and to encourage personal and professional growth for both Mentors and Mentees.

From Field Work to Climate Action: The BeClimate Hub​

The BeClimate Hub is an innovation born from a 40u40 Field Work project of Cohort 2022 Fellows Colja Van Haaren, Grégoire de Hemptinne, Gaëtan Seny, Rob Opsomer and Sandro Iacovella. The group worked together with 40u40 Mentor Stanislas Van Wassenhove to create a meeting point bringing together different silos across industries to connect and thus accelerate the transition of Belgium towards climate neutrality.
